I'm thinking about taking a little vacation to Tunis. But the problem is I don't want to take too long, I'd like to go there for 2 or 3 days maximum. Meaning I'd go on a thursday and come back saturday or monday. I'm wondering, is it worth it? I mean, would a couple of days be nice or do I need more time to get in the "vacation" mood?
Now is the best time to go on vacation, it's mid-august and after a little while schools will start, Ramadan will be here, and all the vacation "atmosphere" might be gone from Tunis. I might be wrong, I've never been there so I'm just guessing. If anyone disagrees please share your thoughts.
I can't take a proper vacation till after 2 more months, in October, and that's NOT a good time for a vacation anywhere :( . So if I don't go now I might as well not go anywhere till next year, then I'd take a real vacation. That's nice, but it just feels soooo far away :(

Salam Alone in Tripoli,
Great idea! Sometimes the most unplanned trips are the most memorable. Even if you only have a short period of time, I say go for it and enjoy the adventure.
thanx ibeebarbie :)
you know what? I think this was the "little push" that I needed, I mean the "Sometimes the most unplanned trips are the most memorable". I totally agree :)
I'll talk to my friend and hopefully we'd go in a couple of weeks :D
I would go if i was you. It is always nice to have sometime off to chill, and im sure it will be worth it. Update us on your trip if you decided to go. Have fun;
thanx happymoi :)
I'll keep you posted, and if I go I'm sure I'll bring some nice pics back with me :D
well, I must say I had lived in Tunisia for like 15 yrs before I moved to Dubai!
u can always catch the summer breeze in Tunisia until mid Sept, and If u decide to go which I totally think u should ...it has to be to Sousa or Hammamet...but u mentioned u need like 3 or 2 dayz...then its not worth it to go all the way to the north....u can go to djerba which is like 4 hours drive away from Tripoly....If I didnt have this intership, I would have planned somethin' similar!
well, Bon voyage in advance
ciao now
lost-libyan,thank you veeeery much, that's some very important input.
I've heard so much about the Hamamat, but as you said, it won't be woth it if I take the long journey and stay only half a day.
So, what's Djerba like? on a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate Djerba and the Hamamat?
well, my fav is Soussa and the new Hammamat....but on scale of 1 to 10...I'd give Djerba 8 with my reference being Tripoly lol :P
what?!!
your reference being Tripoli? you mean Tripoli being the 10 ??!!
if so, then there's no need to bother going, at least for now :(
Please clarify
And how long does it take to get from Ras Ejdeer to Soussa?
Thanx
Salam Alone in Tripoli,
An adventure is always worth taking because you'll never know what you'll discover. :-)
hey there,
r u even nuts?! libya is my reference and usually the reference referrs to the zero level where u can compare everything elese to it! ;P
dont worry go u ll like it...and it ll take probably 5 hrs to get to soussa from ras ejder! ;P
whew!!! Thank GOD!!
Ok, if Libya is a zero then Djerba will be AMAZING! :D
My friend should be coming by the end of this week inshAllah, we'll probably plan the trip for the end of next week, probably to Djerba.
ibeebarbie: I really feel this will be exciting, an adventure, I really am looking forward to it :)
